Can difficult delivery cause ear infections, tummy distress and irritability?
Ask the Experts’ Health Central News
Q:I had a baby girl several months ago and it was a difficult delivery. I heard this can often be the cause of ear infections, tummy distress, or irritability in babies. Even though I am breastfeeding, my little girl is experiencing all of these symptoms and I am very concerned. I do not want to keep giving her medication. I have heard Network Care is amazing for infants. Can you help me?
A: Absolutely! A difficult birth can be very stressful to your baby. The stress to the spine and nervous system, especially at the top of the neck, can diminish the draining of fluid from her ear canals where infection can occur, can compromise digestion creating tummy pain, and can make for a very irritable first few months or few years of life. The good news is I have had great results with the babies in my practice who have experienced this.
While having your daughter under very gentle Network Care, her digestion and elimination will improve, her immune system will become much stronger resulting in far fewer, if any, ear infections, colds, flu, and allergies.
Parents I have worked with find, very quickly, that their babies and older children are much healthier and happier. And an added bonus, medication is no longer needed.
I also suggest eliminating certain foods, while nursing, that you may be eating daily. Milk, cheese, chocolate, eggs, peanut butter, strawberries, grapes, and broccoli may be more difficult for your baby to handle right now while her nervous system, and therefore immune system and digestion, are compromised.
I can assure you that as soon as your daughter has released the birth stress in her body, your parenting experience will be much more enjoyable.
